Frequently Asked Questions

A. About the Lessons

The lessons are live, with direct, interactive visual and audio communication between the teacher and students. We see and communicate in real-time during the lesson, engaging with our teacher and classmates through questions, answers, and discussions to resolve any queries we may have.

Upon registration, each of our students receives their personal access codes to enter the tutoring center’s Digital Portal. From there, they have direct access to every function of the center, including the Weekly Timetable, Class Access Links, Assignments, Exercises, Tests, Books, Communication, and our News section.

The number of students in an online class is strictly a single-digit number, guided by the principle of maintaining a high degree of academic homogeneity in our groups. The average is six students per class.

In the event that a student is unable to connect and attend their lesson live for a serious reason, they will receive it as a video recording, with their classmates’ faces blurred to protect their privacy.

In addition to the standard school textbooks, we provide students with books from DIAKROTIMA Publications, which are constantly updated and edited by our highly experienced teacher-authors. Furthermore, the books are also available in digital format exclusively for our students.

At the end of each lesson, teachers post assignments to the student’s personal account on our Digital Portal. Students log in with their personal codes to find their work. After completing the assignments, they scan them with a mobile phone and upload them by the deadline set by their teachers. The teachers then correct them and upload the graded work back to the portal.

Tests are conducted in accordance with the examination schedule of all tutoring centers in the DIAKROTIMA Group. Students of our Online Tutoring Center log in 15-30 minutes early with their cameras on to receive instructions and the test questions from the assigned proctor. They take the test on camera and within the allotted time. After finishing, they scan and upload their answers to their personal account on the Portal. The answers are then immediately available to the teachers, who correct them and post them back to each student individually with their grade. Importantly, students can compare their performance with that of all students in the Group from across Greece and draw immediate conclusions about their progress.

Our Teachers conduct lessons from the dedicated, state-of-the-art studios of our Online Tutoring Center. These facilities are equipped with the latest e-learning technology to fully simulate an in-person classroom experience. We pioneer the use of modern applications and visual aids to enhance lesson quality and capture student engagement. At the scheduled time, teachers open the digital classroom and connect live with their students.

B. Technical Issues

  1. To participate in the classes, you will need an Internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer with a camera.
  2. You will also need a mobile phone with a camera for scanning assignments and tests.
  3. Headphones are recommended for enhanced concentration during the lesson.

In this case, the student will receive a video recording of the lesson they missed, with their classmates’ faces blurred for privacy. Of course, the teachers will assist them in the next lesson by giving priority to any questions they didn’t have a chance to ask. As for assignments and exercises, they will find them as assigned in their personal account on our Tutoring Center’s Digital Portal.

If a lesson is interrupted due to an issue on our end, a make-up class will be scheduled for the entire group.

C. Financial Matters

Tuition fees are monthly and are prepaid on the 1st day of each month. If, for special reasons, this is not possible in a given month, an arrangement must be made with the administration to set an alternative payment date, which must not be later than the 7th day of that month.

Tuition fees are paid via bank transfer to the tutoring center’s bank account.

After each tuition payment, receipts are issued automatically and electronically. They are immediately available on our ARTEMIS digital platform whenever you need them, throughout the year.

To be fair to all families, we have ensured the lowest possible tuition fees while fully maintaining the quality of educational services our students deserve. Nevertheless, we offer automated discounts which apply when two or more siblings attend simultaneously, for successful new student referrals, and for our re-enrolling students.

D. Parent and Student Updates

Parent updates are a continuous process and a key part of our student support system. Specifically:

  • Daily: Parents can view daily teacher remarks on a student’s oral and written performance at any time they choose.

  • Weekly: Our teachers are available to parents by appointment for any urgent updates.

  • Monthly: The supervising teacher of the class updates parents either by phone or via an online meeting.

  • Quarterly: Three times a year, regular parent updates are scheduled where parents receive their child’s progress report. In these meetings, they communicate with each teacher individually via live video conference according to a pre-sent schedule.

The Supervising Teacher is responsible for the oversight and educational care of all students in the class. They are continuously updated by all other teachers on matters of progress and ensure timely and direct intervention from the tutoring center, as well as keeping the parents informed.

E. Career Counseling

Our tutoring centers offer the Career Gate Test—one of the most reliable and certified career counseling tests—free of charge.

The test is automated and conducted online. The student receives instructions and login codes. It is completed in an easy and user-friendly manner via a questionnaire that takes no more than half an hour.

The results are presented and delivered by our Online Tutoring Center’s certified career counselor during a scheduled video conference. The student and Parent will have the opportunity to discuss and receive guidance on critical educational and career choices.

Yes, both the DIAKROTIMA Group and our Online Tutoring Center, in collaboration with the most reliable and leading career counseling organizations, organize seminars where all the necessary information about the career prospects of all fields is presented in detail.

The DIAKROTIMA Group and the Online Tutoring Center organize a special seminar on how to correctly complete the university application form. Additionally, personalized support for its completion and submission is provided at no extra cost.
